Roseburg High School cross country athletes delivered impressive performances at the OSAA State Championships, with senior Sylvia Eckman leading the way. Eckman did very well securing 21st place finish out of 153 runners, earning honorable mention all-state honors for her achievement.

Junior Joe Latham also demonstrated significant improvement at the state meet, clocking a time of 16:36 and shaving 46 seconds off his previous year's performance of 17:22. Latham placed 74th in a competitive field of 157 runners, positioning himself solidly in the top half of the state's best competitors.
