NAMI Douglas County: Building Bridges in Mental Health
7:24 PM · May 30, 2023The Douglas County Oregon Affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is here to make a difference. Located in Roseburg, this affiliate is part of NAMI, the nation's biggest grassroots mental health organization. Their mission? To help families, friends, mental health service consumers, and caregivers. They provide resources, referrals, support groups, advocacy, public outreach, and education to fight against mental health stigma. Their focus is on the local community and government in Douglas County. One of their main activities is their monthly meeting. Held every first Monday of the month, it's an opportunity to come together, share experiences, and support each other. The next meeting is on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, at Vine Street Baptist Church (2152 NE Vine St, Roseburg, OR 97470-1553).
