Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights Opens Sunday

1:10 AM · Nov 19, 2022

The Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights opens for its 30th season on Sunday night at 5:30 p.m. and will be open nightly until Jan. 1. The drive-thru lights display at River Forks park features over 500,000 lights and over 90 displays. The event was launched by the Roseburg Rotary Club in 1993. The 2022 season also marks the return of the Dutch Bros Holiday Village, in a new location, Riversdale Grange – 4855 Garden Valley Road. “People are so excited to hear that we are bringing back the Holiday Village this year,” Festival Chair Tabbitha Layman said in a press release. “The new location will be an adjustment, but we think the experience will be better than ever!” One ticket will allow families to enjoy the famous Festival of Lights drive-thru at River Forks Park and the Dutch Bros Holiday Village at Riversdale Grange. Tickets to the drive-thru are available at the Holiday Village as well. “Families will be able to see Santa and our famous movie characters at the Holiday Village, and we are bringing back fan favorites like letters to Santa, the model railroad, our Santa doll collection, and hot chocolate, cider, and baked goods for sale too!” Layman said. Visitors can purchase tickets online at www.uvfestivaloflights.com. Scanners at the entrance to the drive-thru will confirm the purchase and allow entry. Tickets are $10 per car, either through the website or at the gate. Several special nights are on the schedule for 2022, allowing free admission for the customers of sponsoring businesses. The entire list is available at uvfestivaloflights.com. Proceeds from the Festival of Lights go to Rotary Scholarships and other Rotary supported programs. The 2022 Festival of Lights is presented by Roseburg Rotary, The Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe, First Interstate Bank, and Dutch Bros. Many other local businesses support the Festival.
