Tree and Shrub Planting Friday Morning
1:04 AM · Nov 11, 2021If anyone is available, we are going to be doing another planting project in the Stewart Park Natural Area on Friday morning at 9am! We are going to be planting some native Ash trees as well as some native shrubs and rushes. These will help with future shade around the ponds, animal nesting, and foraging protection as well as erosion control. The planting project will also help improve water quality in the ponds! Would love to have you join us! We'll meet near the bathroom at north pond there next to Fred Meyer at 9 and will probably work till 11am or so. Bring gloves if you have them. These planting days are the fun ones, especially if you are able to bring kids. They will remember planting the trees later in life!
