Roseburg Firework Show Cancelled for Summer 2021
8:15 PM · Apr 21, 2021The Roseburg Hometown 4th of July Fireworks committee announced today that the 2021 show would not take place. They cited several reasons for the cancellation and encouraged people to attend other nearby celebrations. Here is their full statement: "It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the cancellation of this years Fireworks show. With Covid-19 restrictions still in effect, and being unable to secure a Covid friendly location for launching the show, we have no choice but to cancel. Our request to use Reservoir Hill or the Airport were both denied. Stewart Park or Fairgrounds creates too much liability/logistics with Covid restrictions and poor location to see from afar. We hope that 2022 brings us more back to a "normal" where we can all gather and celebrate our Nation's Independence. We highly encourage you to attend one of Douglas County's other celebrations like Winston, Riddle, or Yoncalla. We are also still accepting donations for future shows. Our goal is to raise $30k for the 2022 show. Please message or email us for more info. Once again, we apologize and hope you understand this was not an easy decision to come to."
