Sledding Hill at Diamond Lake Resort To Open Friday

11:07 PM · Dec 16, 2020

The sledding hill at Diamond Lake is all set to open this coming Friday according to the resort. Up to 6 inches of snow is expected to fall today and tonight in the area which will definitely help snowpack. Tickets will not be available onsite. People must purchase them beforehand on their website. https://www.diamondlake.net/winter-recreation#snowtubing Here is the message from Diamond Lake Resort: "We anticipate opening Friday Morning December 18th. Due to Covid-19, we are making major changes to our inner tube slide hill operations. #1 We will be going to online ticket sales. This will be the only way to purchase a pass to tube. This online system will be up and running early next week. There will be a link on the website under winter recreation to purchase tickets. PLEASE do not show up to tube without first purchasing your tickets. When you go to the link to purchase tickets you will see a calendar with available days. Once tickets are purchased you can save them to your device or print them as proof. #2 We will offer three-hour blocks for tubing. Each block is capped at 150 people. Am block is 9 am - 12 noon. Pm block is 1pm - 4pm. And night tubing is 6 pm - 9 pm. Most days there will only be two blocks offered. Some Friday's after the holiday season will only be night tubing. If we have night tubing on a particular day we will only operate pm and night tubing. No am tubing on days with night tubing. All three-hour blocks of tubing will cost $36. If you purchase 4 or more tickets for the same block there is a 10% discount. #3 We will not allow customer access to the hilltop building. You will need to come prepared to use your vehicle as your base camp. All tickets will be scanned at the window in front of the building. You will then be handed a pass to allow you enter the tubing area. #4 Our night tubing will be tubing with laser and black lights as well as music. We will no longer offer the large campfire, S'mores and Hot Chocolate with night tubing. #5 Masks as well as physical distancing will be a requirement at all times while tubing or in lines. Our tubes will be sprayed with a sanitizing electrostatic fogger between each tubing block. Once you choose a tube use that tube and only that tube for your entire tubing session. #6 Please help us open to season of fun tubing and memories that will last a lifetime. We have put these steps in place to help follow OHA and CDC guidelines and to offer a safe winter activity for guests and our employees.
