(US Dept of Interior) The anticipation builds until you finally you land your eyes upon the water at Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. It's understandable to feel profoundly moved. Ray Lee captured this photo on his first visit to Crater Lake National Park. "I originally backed out of the trip due to a huge winter storm rolling in but decided at the last minute that I couldn't let my buddy go by himself. We hiked about 2-3 miles with snowshoes and I spent probably the coldest night in my life camping. I woke up to an amazing sunrise. Within 30 minutes of the sunrise, we had to pack up and hike back as fast as possible because the storm had already reached us. It's a trip I'll never forget and I hope to get back there soon."
