PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 11/23/2020 (10:45 AM) LOCATION: Umpqua / Harvard, Roseburg INCIDENT: Hit and Run CASE #: 205036 PERSON(S): (S) Ellenwood, Creighton Burk (35) Transient, (V) Noffsinger, Marvin Leroy (80) Sutherlin, (V) Shorey, Edith Bernice (91) Sutherlin CHARGE(S): Ellenwood – Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver, Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle, Reckless Drive x 2, Reckless Endangering x 2 VEHICLE(S): Ellenwood: OR D40394 Red 2004 Dodge Dakota, Noffsinger: OR 721ECM Silver 2009 Buick Lucerne DETAIL(S): Ellenwood was allegedly driving recklessly southbound on Umpqua as he approached the intersection with Harvard. Ellenwood locked up his brakes and skidded for approximately 100 feet, before striking the back of Noffsinger's vehicle. Ellenwood then fled the scene in his vehicle, but was followed by a witness to Brown Street here he parked.Officers contacted Ellenwood on Brown, and Ellenwood fled in the vehicle again. Ellenwood drove to the VA property, where he continued to drive recklessly on VA property. VA Police took him into custody after he got stuck by parked vehicles. Ellenwood was lodged at corrections on the listed charges. Noffsinger’s vehicle was driven from the scene and no one reported injury from the collision. Ellenwood’s vehicle was towed by Roseburg towing. Ellenwood also had a cat in his vehicle, which was taken to Saving Grace. DISPO: Lodged at Corrections. PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 11/23/2020 (12:00 PM) LOCATION: 700 Block Garden Valley, Roseburg INCIDENT: Warrant Arrest CASE #: 205042 PERSON(S): (S) Adams, Courtney Ann (22) Roseburg CHARGE(S): Warrant – Failure to Appear (Winston Police), Warrant – Failure to Appear (DCSO), Warrant – Failure to Appear (DCSO) VEHICLE(S): DETAIL(S): Adams was contacted in the area while officers were investigating a possible trespass. She was cited and released on three warrants. DISPO: Cited and Released. PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 11/23/2020 (02:02 PM) LOCATION: 410 Spruce, Roseburg INCIDENT: Reckless Driving CASE #: 205038 PERSON(S): (S) King, Sarah Brittany (22) Roseburg CHARGE(S): Reckless Driving, Warrant – Failure to Appear (Oregon State Parole Board) VEHICLE(S): White 2001 Nissan Sentra with Oregon Plate YDQ698 DETAIL(S): King was observed driving erratically on NE Stephens by a witness who followed her to SE Spruce Street where she crashed. The witness said King was going well over the speed limit and was weaving between cars and following too close. King hit a light pole and a guard rail causing severe damage to the pole and the vehicle. During the crash investigation, King was found to have a warrant for her arrest. PATROL: Roseburg Police OFFICER: RPD DATE/TIME: 11/24/2020 (02:10 AM) LOCATION: Tarragon / Rosemary, Roseburg INCIDENT: Unauthorized Entry Into a Vehicle CASE #: 205047 PERSON(S): (S) Benefiel, Ryland (23) Roseburg, (S) Collier, Zachary Lee (26) Roseburg CHARGE(S): Unauthorized Entry Into a Vehicle, Criminal Trespass II VEHICLE(S): DETAIL(S): Benefiel and Collier were identified as suspects in several trespass cases and thefts from vehicles in the listed area. They were located in the area and were charged with the listed crimes. DISPO: Cited and Released.
