Shawn Cockrum and Tyler Miller tied for second shooting a pair 68's (-4). The shamble included taking the best drive of the two person team and then each player finishing out the hole, with the best score recorded for the team. In all 92 players participated with 44 teams as some just came out to play for fun. “It was a fun day and we have a lot of excited players who had fun,” Scott Simpson said. “The course is not quite ready for great play as you know from playing but fun anyway.” Scott Simpson and Brett Smith also tied for the win in the gross shamble with a 7 under round that tied Bill Alexander and Ken Dustin. With the reopening of the course it gives golf enthusiasts another option in Douglas County especially for anyone looking for a fun place to play.
