High Cascades slammed with severe winter conditions late today. Right now Oregon Hwy 230 closed from DiamondLake to near UnionCreek. Use alternate routes. No estimated time for opening.

Power is out at Diamond Lake and according to someone at the lodge it could be several days before it is restored. The lodge was still open on Sunday as it's being run on generators. The sledding hill at Diamond Lake is closed.
