Winchester Dam Viewing Area Cleanup a Big Success!

This afternoon a group of volunteers from the community showed up at the Winchester Dam parking lot to clean it up and do some landscaping. It was in pretty rough shape, and we aren’t sure who is in charge of taking care of it. So we decided to come blow it out this afternoon and now it looks amazing! We started off picking up trash, weed whacking, trimming back blackberry bushes and scraping the endless amount of weeds along the curb in the parking lot. Just a bit after we got started, in rolls Scott and Roy from S & R Yard Maintenance with their commercial gear! It was exactly the reinforcements we needed haha. Not only were we able to get all the work done just as it got dark, but they showed up with a giant trailer to haul off all the yard debris! It was a huge help! Big shout out to Nate Frosland and Memorie Frosland and their girls Elsa and Storie, Keith McDonald, Gina, and my boys Moses, Elijah and Abraham for all your help today! You all are awesome and it was a lot of fun working with you today! Also want to thank Luann L. Urban and Nate for helping sponsor the pizza for everyone afterwards!
