Aviva Health Women’s and Reproductive Health Clinic Relocating to New Site, Expanding Team

Aviva Health Women’s and Reproductive Health Clinic Relocating to New Site, Expanding Team

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Aviva Health announced today, effective June 23, 2025, its Women’s and Reproductive Health Clinic will relocate to 2460 NW Stewart Parkway, Suite 240, the current site of Accent on Women’s Health. The move coincides with the addition of Dr. Donald E. Wonderly, MD, and Mitzi Thompson, FNP, who are joining Aviva Health’s Women’s and Reproductive Health team. Both providers previously practiced at Accent on Women’s Health, which will close June 22, 2025. Beginning June 23, all Aviva Health Women’s and Reproductive Health patients will be seen at the new location. “This transition allows us to expand access to care while maintaining continuity for patients familiar with this location,” said Brittany Shaver, director of Specialty Services at Aviva Health. “Aside from the change in address, Aviva Health patients will continue to see the providers they know and trust. The same is true for Accent patients who choose to transfer their care to Aviva Health – they’ll be cared for by the same providers with whom they have established relationships.” The larger space is crucial to Aviva Health’s goal of expanding women’s and reproductive health services in Douglas County, and its close proximity to CHI Mercy Health Mercy Medical Center’s Family BirthPlace is an added benefit, according to Shaver. Patients wishing to continue care with Dr. Wonderly or Thompson must complete a transfer of care form, available at www.aviva.health or by contacting Aviva Health at (541) 672-9596. Appointments can be made by calling the same number. — Via Aviva Health

UCC Softball Team Ceremony Video

Last night there was a beautiful ceremony to support the UCC softball team after their tragic accident. Among those present were several UCC sports teams, past and present coaches, local youth sports teams, several law enforcement agencies as well as a large number of community members who all came out to show their love and support. The speeches were very moving and there weren't many dry eyes in the stadium. Elijah Finlay put together this video to help capture the evening for those who couldn't attend. 💚

Benefit Softball Tournament Scheduled to Help UCC Softball Team

Benefit Softball Tournament Scheduled to Help UCC Softball Team

Tanner Richardson and Madison Hall are launching an annual, family-friendly, co-ed softball tournament to support the UCC Riverhawks Softball Team. Open to all skill levels, the inaugural event will raise funds in memory of Coach Jami Strinz and student-athlete Kylie Jones. Future proceeds will support UCC scholarship funding. Here are the details Tanner shared: "Okay @everyone, the time has come to post the tournament details! The tournament will officially be held on May 17th and 18th at Sunshine park in Roseburg. We will be running all 3 fields both days. It’s going to be men’s and co-ed with set teams and all of the free agents that texted me and don’t have a team I will do like a small draft for those teams to make sure everyone is put where they need to go and it is even for both men’s and co-ed. It’s going to be $30 per player regardless if you’re playing with your set teams or not. What I will have you do is Venmo our account and in the comments please leave your preferred position and if you’re willing to play anywhere please say utility and also mention either your team name and or free agent if you want to be put on a free agent team. If Venmo doesn’t work please private message me on Facebook and we can come up with a plan wether that’s day of and or some other way! We’re going to have a corn hole tournament going on also plus all of the UCC strong merchandise that will be available out there as well. There might be a possible bat raffle and other raffles going on. We’re talking to local food stands and businesses to join us out there to help out in any way possible. Everyone is welcome! If you don’t want to play we would still love for you to come out and be apart of this! Everyone that wants to help out please private message me so that Jay and I can navigate what we need help with and where we need the help! Right before the first game on Saturday I would love for everyone to meet under the pavilion in between the fields to join me in a prayer and a moment of silence for the UCC softball girls. If you want to throw a team in and or find a team we ask that you have your info and or money in by May 12th so that Jay and I can have everyone’s schedule posted by that Wednesday. Thank you guys for all of the love and support for this event! I’m super excited to get this thing going and continue to watch it grow!!!
