All 3 Lanes on I-5 Garden Valley Off-ramp Will Open Tomorrow Morning
10:30 PM · Jun 25, 2024ROSEBURG – After eight months of construction, ODOT is scheduled to open all three lanes of the northbound off-ramp at Exit 125 (Garden Valley) early Wednesday morning, June 26. The new off-ramp configuration will include a lane for vehicles continuing straight onto Mulholland Drive as well as dedicated left-turn and right-turn lanes onto Garden Valley Blvd. Drivers should watch for directional signs and pavement markings when traveling through the new pattern for the first time. For drivers heading south on Mulholland Drive, the new traffic signals will provide a protected green arrow for vehicles turning left onto Garden Valley Blvd. Before this change, drivers would often have to wait for oncoming traffic to clear before they could turn left. ODOT is scheduled to close the northbound off-ramp at 8 p.m. on Tuesday to test the new signal and reveal the new painted arrow on the road surface. The ramp is expected to re-open sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. During the ramp closure, I-5 drivers are advised to use alternate routes. Prime contractor Knife River Materials began work on the $2.4 million project in October. In addition to adding a right-turn lane to the ramp, the project also replaced traffic signals and ADA curb ramps. Knife River also repaved the intersection and part of the ramp. Via ODOT
