Several Inches of Snow Headed to Diamond & Crater Lake

4:03 AM · Nov 8, 2021

NWS in Medford is calling for as much as 8 inches of snow up at Crater Lake and 2-3 inches at Diamond Lake. "With a relatively cold air mass in place, we expect some snow at many mountain passes on Monday into Tuesday morning. Amounts of 4-8 inches seem likely above 4000 feet in the Siskiyou and Cascade Mountain ranges, with 12 inches possible above 6000 feet in the Mt. Shasta region. Snow levels could drop locally lower around Mt. Shasta City (down to around 3500 feet), so we`ve included an advisory for I-5, amounts at Mt. Shasta City could be around 2-3 inches. All the details of the wind/winter storm warnings/advisories can be viewed at NPWMFR and WSWMFR."
