Fire Crews Stop Forward Spread of a Fire Near Iverson Park

Fire crews are on scene of a natural cover fire off of Coos Bay Wagon Road, near Iverson Park.  The forward spread has been stopped at a quarter acre of grass and brush and crews are mopping up the fire.  Firefighters and equipment from DFPA, Tenmile Rural Fire, Lookingglass Rural Fire, and Camas Valley Rural Fire all responded to the incident.  Coos Forest Protective Association moved into Camas Valley to provide coverage while our crews were tied up on the fire.
