City of Roseburg Reopens Playgrounds, Volleyball & Soccer

Roseburg, OR – The City of Roseburg is delighted to announce that playgrounds are now open for public use. Earlier today, City staff received further guidance from the State on outdoor recreation as well as permitted sports during Phase II. Starting on June 9, 2020 all City playgrounds are open to the public. In addition to reopening playgrounds, the City was informed that the updated Oregon Health Authority (OHA) guidance allows volleyball and soccer to resume. Not every restriction has been lifted. “We are continuing to monitor future guidance from the State as information becomes available,” says Public Works Director, Brice Perkins. “As more restrictions begin to lift, we will make adjustments and notify the public as soon as practical.” For more information, please contact the City Public Works Department at 541-492-6730 or email pwd@cityofroseburg.org.
